Nicole Amdur

Nicole’s Yoga practice began when she was eighteen. She was living in her hometown of Hong Kong and had just graduated high school. Her first ever yoga class took place in an old red brick house in the suburbs of Hong Kong, in a family-run yoga studio. Nicole came to the practice in the depths of her battle with anorexia. The moment her feet landed on the mat for the first time, her entire world changed. It felt like her heart had come home.

For Nicole, the reason to grow her practice and teach was never to do the fancy poses or call herself a "yogi." It was to give back. To her students and this magical practice. And to be able to hold space for others as her teachers have and continue to do for her. In the last few years Nicole's yoga practice has grown in the space of Bhakti Yoga. The yoga practices centred on devotion and honouring the lineage of the ancient traditions. Her own lineage includes her teachers: Keith Kempis, Katie Manitsas, Idit Hefer and Jasmine Tarkeshi.

Her absolute love and honour is being able to hold space, play Mantra and lead Kirtan, and finding the beautiful depth to this magical practice.
